Clarissa Chong

Founder and President

Clarissa is a 12th grader at The Branson School in Ross, CA. She began her journey of advocacy for child laborers in the West African cocoa industry after learning about the exploitation rife within the process from bean to bar that conglomerate companies perpetuate. During her high school career, she has researched this topic thoroughly (for over one year) and wrote this Historical Research Paper, fundraised at her school and SF events such as the Bay Area Chuseok Festival, and presented this issue to the SF Human Rights Commission and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s office. Outside of this non-profit, she enjoys studying neuroscience and philosophy, exercising, and playing many different sports.
